With our gig at the Dinkytowner tomorrow I decided to be a little pro-active on the marketing front with 2 actions. Well the idea of the 1st prompted the need for the 2nd.

1. Had “business cards” printed: I created a promo card with an ad go to our website and download a song for free. I was able to get 500 of them printed for $13 (or for $.04 less i could have had 250) thanks to gotprint.com.

By making the card I created the need for a website so I quickly threw one together and have now…

2. launched our website slightlymutual.com: Hopefully with the free song promo people will go to the site, download the song, use the links to add us on MySpace, Facebook, iLike or Virb and thus creating a network/fan base we previously did not have.

Since we’re literally just getting going and the short order of the need of this site there’s not a whole lot of typical band website info to post (bio, audio, video, pics, etc) and it’s not really what I would call my best work ever. Because of that I call this version 0.9 of our website.

With the long weekend ahead I plan on getting started on ver 1.0 but for now I give you slightlymutual.com ver: 0.9
